With a good number of volunteers we were able to split into three groups and carry out some much needed work around the lake. This included bramble clearance on the causeway to open up the view of the lake. Clearance along the cattle fences where young hedgerow whips risked being swamped by undergrowth.
At Shoveler Hide, we had a very enthusiastic group of three Duke of Edinburgh Award pupils from St Clement Danes helping to spruce the hide up. They scrubbed, cleaned and wood preserved together with removing Ivy off the exterior of Shoveler. The inside and the outside now look almost new.
