At the Rural Living Awards evening on October 18th at County Hall, Hertford, Three Rivers groups did very well with Friends of Stocker’s Lake winning the top and prestigious Chairman’s Award.

These are annual awards made by the Council for the Preservation of Rural England. This year the awards were presented by Councillor Paula Hiscock, Chair of Three Rivers District Council. Councillor Hiscock said “I am so pleased that the Friends of Stocker’s Lake team won the prestigious Chairman’s Award. Having visited them at Stocker’s Lake Nature Reserve and seen the exceptional work that they do, it is well deserved”.
