After 13 years Ian Watson has retired as FoSL chairman with effect from the end of 2016. Ian has done a huge amount for FoSL over those years and we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude. He will continue to serve as FoSL Vice Chairman and as Work Parties convener and he intends to continue to spend time working on the reserve.
Our new Chairman is Nigel Daley, a teacher who lives in Chorleywood. It’s a good time for Nigel to take over as a lot is planned for 2017. Over recent years FoSL has built up some quite considerable financial reserves and in 2017 it is planned to spend some of this on projects to improve Stocker’s Lake as a nature reserve.
